背單字好痛苦？
來從原本就會的簡單單字來做擴充吧！
ocean, land, island, mountain, hill, desert
「單字都背不起來！」、「為什麼英文單字這麼多？」這些句子是你在學英文時常常嚷嚷的話？不用擔心，如果「背單字」就是你一直以來恐懼英文的重要原因，那麼，這部影片可能就會是你需要的：
記憶單字的訣竅 (The Trick to Remembering Vocabulary)
其實背單字沒有這麼難對吧？除了可以試試上面老師教的有趣方法，從一個簡單的字去做很多延伸也是擴充單字量的好方法，來看看下面這些單字與他們的延伸：
1. land 陸地；土地；田地；國土
- landscape 風景；風景繪畫；景觀美化，園藝工作
The landscape artist has turned her own backyard into a beautiful garden filled with exotic flowers and elegant decorations.
景觀藝術家把自家後院變成充滿異國情調鮮花和裝飾高雅的美麗花園。
- landfill 垃圾掩埋處
- landing 著陸；靠岸
- landing gear 飛機的起落架
- landing strip 飛機的跑道
- landlocked 內陸的；被陸地包圍
- landlord 房東；地主
- landmark 地標，陸標；重大事件，里程碑
- landmass 大陸
- landslide 山崩；滑坡
- land bridge 陸橋
- Land Rover 越野車
- land of milk and honey 魚米之鄉，富饒的國度，流著奶與蜜之地（典故來自聖經）
- homeland 祖國
2. continent 洲；大洲；大陸
- continental crust 大陸地殼
- continental drift 大陸漂移
- continental plate 大陸板塊
- continental breakfast 歐洲大陸式早餐

3. island 島；島嶼
- islander 島民；島上居民
- islanding 自動跳轉；孤立

5. hill 小山；丘陵；堆成土堆
- hillbilly 山區鄉巴佬；美國南部的鄉下人
- hillock 小丘，山丘
- hillside 山腰，山坡
- hill of beans 沒有價值的東西，這是來自美語的比喻，因為一堆豆子 (beans)賣不了多少錢
The recycling center for electronic is filled with a pile of used cell phones that looks like a hill of beans no one wants.
電子回收中心充滿了舊手機，看起來像一堆不值錢的、沒有人要的東西（豆子）。
- hilltop 山頂
- uphill 上坡
- downhill 向下；下坡
