打籃球除了playing basketball之外還能怎麼說呢？
籃球是非常普遍的運動，
想當年小編也是看著「灌籃高手」長大的，
但對於籃球用語的英文，似乎一知半解，
所以VoiceTube今日來教大家不可不知的基本籃球術語唷！
籃球
我們知道打籃球是playing basketball，但其實也有另一個說法唷
playing basketball = playing hoops
hoop 籃框

動作用語
dribble 運球
e.g. You have to focus when dribbling the ball. 你運球時要保持警戒。
double dribble 二運(兩次運球)
e.g. Don’t double dribble the ball. 不要二次運球。
pass 傳球
e.g. He passed the ball to his teammate. 他傳球給隊友。
throw a long pass 長傳
e.g. She threw a long pass to another player. 她長傳給另一位球員。
shoot an air ball 投麵包球(將球投到籃框外)
e.g. David shot an air ball. Too bad! 大衛投了個麵包球，太糟了。
swish 空心球
e.g. Hurray! I made a swish! 萬歲！我投了一個空心球！
(補充：swish(v, n) 有咻一聲的意思，大家可以想像籃球咻一聲投進籃框，那就是空心球啦)
nothing but net 投空心球的意思
e.g. Without any hesitation, Michael got nothing but net! 沒有任何猶豫，麥可投了個空心球！
driving to the hoop 帶球上籃
e.g. Karen drove a ball to the hoop. 凱倫帶球上籃。
(補充：drive後面可以不用加受詞ball，大部分時候都不會加受詞)
lay-up 帶球上籃得分
e.g. Karen drove to the hoop for a lay-up. 凱倫帶球上籃得分。
(補充：driving to the hoop與lay-up相比，強調帶球上籃的那個動作)

traveling 帶球走步
e.g. Traveling is a violation of the rule. 帶球走步犯規。
make the basket/hoop 投籃得分
e.g. Yay! I made the hoop! 耶！我投籃得分。
jump shot 跳投
e.g. How do you shoot a jump shot? 要怎麼跳投？
jump ball 跳球
e.g. Every game begins with a jump ball. 比賽從跳球開始。
bank shot 擦板得分
e.g. The forward made a bank shot. 前鋒擦板得分。
rebound 搶籃板；籃板球
e.g. Mike rebounded the ball. 麥可搶到籃板。
(補充：rebound是反彈的意思，所以球打到籃板反彈叫做rebound)
steal 抄截
e.g. How do you steal a ball from another player? 要如何抄球？
slam dunk 灌籃
e.g. It’s simply a miracle that Ken, who can’t even dribble properly, managed a beautiful slam dunk. 連運球都不會肯尼竟然漂亮地灌籃，這簡直是個奇蹟！
block a shot 蓋火鍋
e.g. David blocked a shot against Mike. 大衛蓋麥可的火鍋。
three-point shot 三分球 (= three pointer)
e.g. She made a three-point shot. 她投了一個三分球。
e.g. She shot a three pointer. 她投了一個三分球。
alley-oop 第一時間灌籃 ；空中灌籃得分 (A將球高傳給B，B灌籃得分，也就是俗稱的阿雷U)
e.g. Wow! James just threw an alley-oop. That’s amazing! 哇！詹姆士剛在空中灌籃，太神奇了！
buzzer beater 壓哨球；零秒出手
e.g. Jordan hit a buzzer beater. 喬丹射進一個壓哨球。
(補充：buzzer是蜂鳴器，在這裡代表時間到時的計時哨聲，在零秒哨響時出手，很生動的一個字唷)
規則用語
foul 犯規
e.g. The player fouled. 球員犯規了。
foul out 犯滿畢業
e.g. Oops! He fouled out! 哎呀，他五犯畢業了。
(補充：中文裡有五犯畢業、六犯畢業，但在英文不會特別強調幾犯，只表示犯規次數滿了必須離場)
foul trouble 犯規次數快滿，快要被判出場而造成麻煩
e.g. He was on the court for only 30 minutes because of the foul trouble. 因為犯規次數快滿，他在場上只待了30分鐘。
foul shot/free throw 罰球
e.g. He is up for a foul shot. 他要罰球。
out of bounds (球)出界；界外
e.g. The ball is out of bounds. 球在界外。
(注意：千萬別講成outside囉)
turnover 失誤；失球
e.g. Kelly committed a turnover. 凱莉失球一次。

assistant coach 助理教練
point guard 控球後衛
shooting guard 得分後衛
small forward 小前鋒
power forward 大前鋒
center 中鋒
bench (指全體)後備球員、板凳球員
bench player: (指個人) 後備球員
starter (指個人) 先發球員
starting lineup (指全體) 先發陣容
