最近看大家都在分享《安娜貝爾》的觀後感，讓我突然想到，好像應該跟大家分享幾個和「鬼魂」有關的片語。寫這篇文章時，最困難的地方就是尋找圖片…不停被嚇…所以你們要好好看這篇文章唷！
學習片語前，我們先來複習一下安娜貝爾的預告片吧！
5 和ghost相關的實用片語
as pale as a ghost
面無人色
pale 是蒼白的意思，而 as pale as a ghost 就是像鬼魂一樣面無血色，你也可以說 as white as a ghost 或 as white as a sheet (床單)
EX：She turned as pale as a ghost when she saw her injured leg.
當她看到自己受傷的腳，嚇得臉色發白。
not a ghost of a chance
沒有任何機會
我們可以這麼聯想：鬼魂是超現實的存在，所以我們常常用它來形容「難以到達、不太可能」的意思，就好像我們會說「鬼才相信你勒！」表示「我不相信」的意思。
EX：I haven’t got the ghost of chance to win the game.
我根本沒有機會贏得這場比賽。
give up the ghost
失敗，放棄，絕望
也可以表示「不再擁有某權利了」或是「完蛋了」，是個非常負面的句子 (希望大家不要常常用到..) 可以用在商業上或競賽上的失敗，有些人東西壞掉了的時候也會這麼說。
EX：Some people give up the ghost before they figure out what they are looking for.
有些人還沒找到目標就先放棄了。
lay the ghost of something/somebody (to rest)
放下心中大石
lay the ghost to rest 是讓靈魂安息的意思。而 lay the ghost of something/somebody (to rest) 則表示終於可以不用煩惱一件你擔心很久的事情、將煩惱驅趕走。
EX：It’s time to lay this ghost to rest. Maybe drawing will help you keep your mind occupied.
是時候結束這件事了，也許畫畫能幫助你忘卻一切。
the ghost at the feast
掃把星
feast 是宴席、令人享受的盛會的意思。那麼出現在宴席的鬼魂，必然會破壞整個氣氛。所以我們說 the ghost at the feast 是破壞好氣氛的人、掃把星。
EX：John was the ghost of the feast, always reminding her of the broken promise.
John總是讓她想起他們破碎的承諾，非常掃興。
雖然說是和 ghost 相關的片語，但不一定都是負面的意思，我自己覺得這五個都蠻實用的，希望能幫助到你！
