Judy 跟 Silvia 是高中好閨蜜，他們相約一起去紐約旅遊，抵達紐約當天，兩人的興奮情緒難掩，但他們不知道的是真正的挑戰正要開始…
Judy: Oh my god! Silvia! Can you believe it? New York City!
Judy: 我的天啊！Silvia！你相信嗎？我們現在在紐約！Silvia: Yeah, I’m super excited! Where shall we go first?
Silvia: 對啊，我現在超級興奮的！我們要先去哪裡？Judy: I think we should take the subway to get our hotel first so we can drop off our luggage.
Judy: 我覺得我們可以先搭地鐵去飯店放行李。Silvia: Okay, there’s a map over there. Let’s find out what direction we need to go in.
Silvia: 好啊，那裡有指標，我們就跟著走吧。(After a few minutes)
(幾分鐘後)Judy: Are you sure this is the right way? I’m not so sure it is…
Judy: 你確定這是對的方向嗎？我覺得有點奇怪。Silvia: I’m not sure either. Let me ask a local. Excuse me, we’re lost. Can you tell me how to get to the subway station?
Silvia: 我也不確定，讓我問問看當地人。不好意思，我們迷路了，可以請你告訴我們要如何去地鐵站嗎？Local: Go along the street for five minutes and turn left, then you’ll see the nearest subway station.
當地人: 沿著這條路走五分鐘然後左轉，你就會看到最近的地鐵站了。Silvia: Thank you so much!
Silvia: 非常謝謝你！
Can/Could you tell me how to get to + 目的地 ? 請問…該怎麼去？
如果不幸運地在國外迷路不知所措的時候，先不要慌張！把這句學起來就對了！get to 就是「去、到」的意思，後面加上目的地，而 can/could you tell me 則是禮貌性的問句開頭，所以如果要向他人問路就可以說：Can/Could you tell me how to get to + 目的地？。
Can you tell me how to get to the school library?
可以請你告訴我應該如何去學校圖書館嗎？
go along… (phr.) 沿著…走
當你問路後，別人回你 go along the street 是什麼意思呢？go 相信大家都不陌生，就是「走」的意思，而 along 是介系詞，「順著、沿著」的意思，所以 go along 就是「沿著…走」的意思喔！
If you want to go the school library, you should go along this path and then turn right.
如果你想要去學校圖書館，你應該順著這條小路走然後右轉。
turn left/right (phr.) 左/右轉
左轉？右轉？傻傻分不清楚？轉彎的英文是 turn，這個字除了當作「轉彎」之外，也有「轉變」的意思，而 left/right 分別是左邊、右邊。另外也可以用 make a left/right turn 表示相同意思。
Cross the street three blocks down and then turn right.
過這個路口然後右轉。
過半小時她們終於到了飯店，休息一下後，他們正式開啟他們的紐約行程，而第一站他們要去拜訪自由女神像。
Judy: Trust me, Silvia. We won’t get lost this time because I have Google Maps with me.
Judy: 相信我，Silvia。我們這次不會迷路因為我有 Google Maps。Silvia: Hahaha okay. Then lead the way Vasco!
Silvia: 哈哈哈哈好，那你帶路吧。(After walking for ten minutes)
(走路十分鐘後)Judy: Hmmm… We seem to have gone the wrong way.
Judy: 嗯… 我們好像走錯路了。Silvia: What? Don’t you have Google Maps?
Silvia: 什麼？你不是有 Google Maps 嗎？Judy: Yeah… it seems that we’re getting further and further away from our destination.
Judy: 是啊… 感覺我們離目的地越來越遠。Silvia: It’s okay. Let me ask someone. Excuse me, can you help me out? I’m trying to get to the Statue of Liberty. Are we going in the right direction?
Silvia: 沒關係，讓我問問其他人，不好意思，你可以幫幫我們嗎？我們想要去自由女神像，請問我們在對的方向嗎？Local: No, you’re going in the opposite direction. You should go this way for two blocks and then turn right, then you’ll see it on your left-hand side.
當地人: 不對，你們在反方向，你們應該朝這個方向走兩個路口之後右轉，自由女神像就會在你們的左手邊。Judy: Thank you so much.
Judy: 非常謝謝你。
come/go the wrong way (phr.) 走錯路
導航不是萬能，有時候跟著導航走也有可能會迷路，「走錯路」的英文要怎麼說呢？可以用 come/go the wrong way 表示。
We seem to have come the wrong way. Let’s look at the map again.
我們好像走錯路了，讓我們再看一次地圖。
destination (n.) 目的地
destination 為名詞，表示「目的地」，例如：tourist/holiday destination (渡假勝地)。要表達抵達目的地，可以用 reach our destination 或 arrive at our destination 表示。
We’ve arrived at our destination. Don’t forget to take your personal belongings with you.
我們已抵達目的地，請不要忘了你隨身攜帶的物品。
direction 方向
direction 是名詞「方向」的意思，介系詞要用 in，當你想確定自己是否在走在對的方向時可以說：Are we going in the right direction?。
According to Google Maps, I think this is the right direction.
根據 Google 地圖，我覺得我們走在對的方向。
