你太超過了！You’ve gone too far!
(X) You are too over!
相信許多台灣人最愛說的句子之一就是「你也太 over 了吧！」，但其實英文裡並不會這麼使用哦！over 為介系詞，它的確有「超過」的意思，但是指「數量」等的超過。
I can’t afford this TV. It is way over my budget.
我買不起這台電視，超過我預算太多了。
那到底要怎麼用英文表示某人做了一件事情做得太超過了呢？正確用法為：You’ve gone too far! 。另外也可以用形容詞片語 over the top (OTT) 或名詞 overkill 來表示類似意思喔。
Hannah: That co-worker of ours is a real asshole.
Hannah: 我們那個同事真的是個混蛋。
Gail: You’re telling me. Always talking about people behind their backs.
Gail: 還用你說。總是在人家背後說壞話。
Hannah: Never doing any work.
Hannah: 而且什麼事情都不做。
Gail: She’s really gone too far this time.
Gail: 她這次真的太過分了。
Hannah: Telling all those lies to try and get us fired. That’s really over the top.
Hannah: 說那些謊想把我們弄走。太誇張了。
Gail: Yeah. Do you think kicking her out of the window would be overkill?
Gail: 對啊，你覺得把她踢出窗外會太過分嗎？
你好壞！You’re so mean!
(X) You’re so bad!
大家都知道 bad 作為形容詞有「壞的，不好的」的意思，但若用 You are so bad! 來形容一個人時是在說對方「很遜」、「很糟糕」。
A: I don’t know how to play this game. It is so hard.
B: You’re so bad!
A: 我不知道怎麼玩這個遊戲，好難！
B: 你好遜！
bad 搭配介系詞 for 使用時，也可以有「對…是有害的」的意思。
Eating too much in one sitting is bad for your stomach.
一次吃太多對你的胃不好。
bad 這個字在形容某人性格「很壞」的時候，要放在名詞前方。
You are such a bad guy. I don’t want to talk to you anymore.
你真是個壞人，我不想跟你講話了！
那「你好壞！」道地的英文到底要怎麼說呢！？答案就是 You’re so mean!。mean 這個字作為形容詞使用時，有「壞的，心地不好的」的意思。
Gail: So then, I kicked her out of the window!
Gail: 然後，我就把她踢出了窗外！
Grace: Gail! You’re so mean!
Grace: Gail！你好壞！
Gail: Oh come on! She deserved it!
Gail: 喔拜託！她活該！
Grace: Whether she did or not, HR is not going to be happy about this.
Grace: 不管她是不是活該，人資都會不開心的。
Gail: What was I supposed to do? Not kick her out of the window?
Gail: 那不然我要怎麼做？「不要」把她踢出窗外？
Grace: Well … no.
Grace: 這個嘛…也不是。

好 fashion 喔！That is so trendy/stylish/fashionable!
(X) That is so fashion!
「那東西好飛炫！」應該是大家一定聽過的句子，這表示你又落入中式英文的陷阱囉！fashion 這個字並不能當作形容詞來使用，它只有名詞與動詞兩種詞性。當名詞時有「(服飾等的) 流行式樣；時尚，風氣」的意思。
I don’t like this coat. I guess I’m not a fan of this type of fashion.
我不喜歡那件大衣，我可能就不喜歡這種時尚風格吧。
fashion 當動詞時則有「製作；使成行；把…塑造成」的意思。
Bean is very handy. She fashioned the clay into a cat.
Bean 的手很巧，她用黏土做出一隻貓。
當我們要說某個東西很「流行的，時尚的」的時候，可以用這些字：fashionable、stylish、trendy。
Adam: Are you wearing two different socks?
Adam: 你的襪子兩支不同顏色？
Frank: My cousin told me that wearing odd socks was trendy.
Frank: 我親戚說穿不同顏色的襪子很潮。
Adam: I’m not sure how fashionable it is …
Adam: 我不太確定這有多流行…
Frank: What do you know about being stylish?
Frank: 你懂什麼流行？
Adam: Good point.
Adam: 有道理。
恭喜！Congratulations!
(X) Congratulation!
congratulation 是「恭喜；祝賀」的意思，但如果要用來祝賀他人時則要用複數形 congratulations。在英文裡，有些抽象名詞會以複數形式呈現，如： thanks (謝謝)、apologies (抱歉) 等。
Rick: Congratulations!
Rick: 恭喜！
Alyn: On what?
Alyn: 恭喜什麼？
Rick: Turning 30!
Rick: 三十歲啦！
Alyn: Oh … I guess. One year closer to death.
Alyn: 喔…我想是吧。又離死亡更近了一年。
Rick: Right … Did you get any good presents?
Rick: 對… 你有收到什麼不錯的禮物嗎？
Alyn: Gifts are meaningless once you accept that life is only temporary. But I did get a nice pair of socks.
Alyn: 一旦你體認到生命只是短暫的，禮物根本毫無意義。但我是收到了一雙步錯的襪子。
另外，congratulations 也常常搭配介系詞 on/upon 來表達要恭喜的事。也可以加 to 再接上要恭賀的對象，例如下面影片中的用法。口語上我們也常用 congrats 來代替 congratulations。

information (資訊) 也是一個大家常常用到的字，但請注意！information 是個不可數名詞！也就是說 information 前面不會有不定冠詞 an，也不能直接加上數字。若要指稱「特定的資訊」時，可加上定冠詞 the，或是也可以加上 some (一些)。日常生活中常被誤會成可數名詞但其實是不可數名詞的字還有： research (研究)、advice (建議)、equipment (裝備) 等。

士兵：長官，敵人威脅要展開核武攻擊。
General: Thank you for the information soldier.
將軍，謝謝你提供資訊。

「如果我沒記錯的話」英文要怎麼講？有很多人會直接地說 If I correctly remember，但這樣的說法其實是錯誤的，正確的說法為 If (my) memory serves me correctly 或是 If I remember (it) rightly/correctly 。
Wilma: Do you know what type of tomatoes you’re meant to use in gazpacho?
Wilma: 你知道西班牙凍湯要用什麼番茄嗎？
Trevor: If my memory serves me correctly, they recommend using Roma tomatoes.
Trevor: 如果我沒記錯的話，他們是建議用羅馬番茄。
Wilma: Oh … I’m not sure if I can get those here.
Wilma:喔… 我不確定這裡可以買到。
Trevor: If I remember rightly, you can get canned Roma tomatoes down at the deli.
