2. brush off 忽略、不理睬
As the co-founder, you shouldn’t brush off the poor ratings of the company.
身為共同創辦人，你不該忽略公司的負面評價。
She brushed off everyone’s suggestion.
她不理會大家的建議。
3.burning question 棘手的問題
It’s a burning question for me to decide whether or not to continue the current lease.
是否續租目前的房子對我而言真是個棘手的問題。

7. big fish in a small pond 在小地方當大人物
He has no interest in living in large and competitive cities. Instead, he’d rather be a big fish in a small pond.

（亦有寧為雞首、不為牛後的概念。）
8. behind the scenes 暗中進行
Enemies behind the scene are more dangerous than those on the stage.
背後的敵人比眼前看到的更危險。
