做家事的英文叫做 do chores ，至於跟家事相關的單字都列在下面囉！
家事種類：
掃地 sweep the floor
拖地 mop the floor
擦地 wipe the floor
刷地 scrub the floor
吸塵 vacuum the room
洗衣服 do the laundry
晒 (烘) 衣服 hang (dry) clothes
摺衣服 fold clothes
煮飯 prepare meals
洗碗 do/wash the dishes
洗車 wash the car
倒垃圾 take out the trash
割草 mow the lawn
除草 weed the garden
澆水 water plants
鋪床 make the bed
居家清潔用具：
bleach 漂白劑
broom 掃把

freshen up 也可以用在人身上，有梳洗或是精神換發的意思。
I need some time to freshen up before going to the party.

rinse 跟 wash 差在哪呢？ rinse 是指用清水沖洗，像是洗碗時已經抹了洗碗精，然後要用水沖乾淨的時候就可以用 rinse ，至於 wash 則可以是整個清洗的過程。
