trip, travel, tour, journey, voyage 的差別你都清楚嗎？

travel
這個詞的用法比較容易讓人混淆，一起來看看吧！
travel 當不可數名詞時意思是「移動」，強調從一個地方到另一地的移動過程。
form/means of travel 移動方式（通常指交通工具）
I always go home by bus, since it’s the cheapest means of travel.
我都坐巴士回家，因為這是最便宜的方式。
rail/air travel 鐵路/飛機的路途
Rail travel in Europe is the most affordable way for backpackers.
對背包客來說，在歐洲搭火車行動是最經濟實惠的方式。
travels 作為「旅行」則固定是複數型，通常指到較遠的地方遊玩。
on somebody’s travels
Gina met her boyfriend on her travels in Japan.
Gina 在日本旅遊時邂逅了她的男友。
trip
造訪某個地方，可能是旅遊觀光或者其他目的，強調旅程本身。
go on/take a trip 進行一趟旅程
Tom took a trip to Taichung to visit his grandma.
Tom 去了一趟台中探視祖母。
business trip 出差
I’m going to take a business trip to Japan next week, so I can buy you some souvenirs.
我下星期要去日本出差，所以我可以買一些紀念品給你。
round trip 來回
Fares for round trips are often discounted.
來回票通常會有折扣。
tour
參觀、遊玩為主的旅遊，歌手或樂團巡迴演出也是用 tour 這個字。
Millions of Chinese tourists have visited Taiwan with a sightseeing tour since 2008.
2008年以來已經有上百萬中國民眾來台灣觀光旅遊。The London Symphony Orchestra is currently on tour.
倫敦交響樂團正在進行巡迴演出。

journey
可數名詞，可以指某地到另一地的旅途，也可以指自我挑戰、心靈層次的旅程。
Muslims regard the Hajj to Mecca as the most important journey in their life.
穆斯林視朝聖麥加為一生中最重要的旅程。
voyage
指搭船或是太空梭的旅程
The Titanic’s maiden voyage ended up as a tragedy.
鐵達尼號的處女航最終以悲劇收場。
voyage of discovery 吸收許多新知識的情況
Writing a biography is a voyage of self-discovery.
撰寫自傳是一個自我探索的旅程。
expedition
遠征，一群人為了探險、戰爭或研究等等所展開的旅途
The purpose of the expedition is to carry out a research on Zika virus.
這次遠征的目的是為了進行茲卡病毒的研究。
