♦ 主要是指透過媒體的力量，使得大眾輿論，對正義審判也具有影響力。
3. deadly force (n.) 致命武力
4. supreme court (n.) 最高法院
5. cop (n.) 警察
6. apprehend (v.) 逮捕
♦The police have finally apprehended the killer.
警察總算將殺人犯逮捕了。
7. sue (v.) 控告〔尤指要求賠償〕

東太平洋漁民很早便發現每隔數年，該地的海水就會異常升溫。
此現象通常於聖誕節前後開始發生，因此沿海一帶的漁民以西班牙語 El Niño （意為「男嬰」或「聖嬰」）稱之。
而相反的現象稱為La Niña意為「女嬰」或「聖女（嬰）」，或譯作「反聖嬰」。
