- ramp up (phr.): 增加; 增強
E.g., North Korea is testing its newly designed missiles which is sure to ramp up the tension in Asia.
北韓正在測試新設計的飛彈，增加亞洲的緊張情勢。 - drop in the bucket (idiom): 九牛一毛
E.g., I know two dollars is just a drop in the bucket, but if everyone donated that much it’d make a big difference.
我知道兩塊錢只是九牛一毛，但每個人都捐這麼多的話，也會造成很大的影響。 - sluggish (adj.): 懶惰的,遲鈍的
E.g., Never let your boss think you are a sluggish person.
永遠不要讓你老闆覺得你是個慵懶的人。 - all-you-can-eat (phr.): 吃到飽
E.g., Let’s pick a restaurant with an all-you-can-eat salad bar.
我們挑一家有吃到飽沙拉吧的餐廳吧。 - sneak up on (phr.): 偷襲
E.g., Don’t sneak up on me like that again, you almost scared me to death.
以後絕對不要這要偷襲我，妳差點把我嚇死。
補充:
1. sneak out (phr.): 偷溜
E.g., Don’t try to sneak out of this room, or you will be in big trouble.
別想試著偷溜出這房間，不然妳就倒大楣。
2. sneak into (phr.): 潛入
E.g., I don’t think it’s a good idea to sneak into your sister’s room.
我覺得偷偷進去你姊姊的房間不是個好點子。 - photobomb (phr.): 亂入 (類似搶鏡的意思)
E.g., Ted photobombed us as I’m taking a photo of Mary.
