寫作很重要的一個技巧是用字多樣，
同樣的意思以不同的字呈現，
可以替作文大大加分，
今天VoiceTube提供大家一些用詞，替換你常用的字，
提升作文的level！
1. more and more 越來越多的
替換字：an increasing number of/ a rising number of
例句
替換前：More and more people use smartphones.
替換後：There is an increasing number of people using smartphones.
(越來越多人使用智慧型手機)

2. many/much/a lot of 許多
替換字：countless (無數), a considerable amount of (大量), a large number of (大量), quite a few(+可數名詞 ，許多), quite a little(+不可數名詞 ，許多), a good deal of (許多)
例句
替換前：Many stars shine in the sky at night. 許多星星在夜空中閃爍
替換後：Quite of few stars shine in the sky at night. 許多星星在夜空中閃爍
替換後：Countless stars shine in the sky at night. 無數顆星星在夜空中閃爍
3. different 多種的
替換字：various (各式各樣的), a variety of (各式各樣), diverse (多樣的), a diversity of (多樣), kaleidoscopic (如萬花筒般的；千變萬化的)
補充：kaleidoscopic這個字較不常用，但偶爾還是會看見有人用在作文裡
例句
替換前：There are different colors. 有很多種顏色
替換後：There is a variety of colors. 有各式各樣的顏色
補充：有時候可以將形容詞改為名詞來呈現，增加句型的變化
4. be full of 充滿著
替換字： be filled with (填滿、充滿), fill (填滿、充滿), be teeming with (充滿), be abundant with (充滿)
例句
替換前：The air is full of unusual odors. 空氣中充滿著不尋常的氣味
替換後：The air is filled with unusual odors. 空氣中充滿不尋常的氣味
替換後：Unusual odors fill the air. 不尋常的氣味充斥在空氣中
(注意：這兩句都是用fill來呈現，一個主動，一個被動)
另外，be teeming with後面主要是接有生命的事物
e.g. The room is teeming with people.
5. have 有
替換字：be equipped with 具有；裝有 (被動) , equip with 具有；裝有 (主動)
equip A with B 原是「給A裝備B」的意思，例如The general equipped the soldiers with guns. (過去式，將領給士兵們裝備槍)，不過equip with同時也可以用在抽象的事物上，雖然equip with不能代替所有have的用法，但大家還是可以參考一下。
例句
替換前：I have skill and knowledge in teaching. 我有豐富的教學經驗
替換後：I am equipped with skill and knowledge in teaching. 我有豐富的教學經驗
替換後：Being a teacher’s assistant will equip me with skill and knowledge needed for teaching. 當助教可以讓我有豐富的教學經驗
6. feel 感受到
替換字：savor (嚐到)
savor當名詞有滋味、風味的意思，當動詞有品味、欣賞的意思
如果想表達抽象的感受到什麼、嚐到什麼滋味，可用savor這個帶有意象的字
例句
替換前：I felt a sense of achievement. 我感到有成就
替換後：I savored a sense of achievement. 我嚐到了成就的滋味
7. think/consider 想；考慮
替換字：ponder over (仔細考慮), contemplate (仔細考慮), weigh (考慮；權衡), mull over (仔細考慮)
例句
替換前：He thought about the problem all night. 他思考了那個問題一整夜
替換後：He pondered over the problem all night. 他仔細思考了那個問題一整夜
替換後：He weighed the problem all night. 他仔細思考了那個問題一整夜
替換後：He mulled over his failure for several days. 他為他的失敗沉思了好多天
8. be touched 受感動的
替換字：be moved (被感動), vibrate to (撼動；共鳴), strike a chord with (打動；共鳴)
例句
替換前：I was touched by the beautiful melody. 我被優美的旋律感動
替換後：I was moved by the beautiful melody. 我被優美的旋律感動
替換後：My heart vibrated to the beautiful melody. 我的心被優美旋律撼動到了
替換後：The beautiful melody struck a chord with me. 優美的旋律打動了我
9. improve 進步；改進
替換字：make progress (取得進展), make headway (取得進展), advance (進步), better (改進)
例句
替換前：You can improve your academic performance by studying hard. 藉由認真讀書，你可以改善你的學術表現
替換後：You can advance in your academic performance by studying hard.
替換後：You can better your academic performance by studying hard.
替換後：You can make progress in your academic performance by studying hard.
(藉由認真讀書，你可以改善你的學術表現)
替換後：You made headway! 你進步了！
10. read 閱讀
替換字：leaf through (匆匆翻閱；瀏覽), skim (瀏覽), pore over (仔細閱讀),
書本的一頁可以叫leaf，leaf though就是一頁一頁地翻閱，很有意象的用詞
例句
替換前：I read the newspaper in the morning. 我早上看了報紙
替換後：I leafed through the newspaper in the morning. 我早上翻閱了報紙
替換後：I pored over the report to check if there was any mistake. 我仔細審視報告，檢查是否有任何錯誤
11. prevent from 阻止
替換字：hinder from (阻止), keep at bay (不使…迫近，阻止)
例句
替換前：We should prevent rabbits from eating our crops. 我們應該阻止兔子吃我們的作物
替換後：We should hinder rabbits from eating our crops. 我們應該阻止兔子吃我們的作物
替換後：We should keep rabbits at bay so that they won’t eat our crops. 我們應該阻止兔子靠近，好讓牠們不會吃我們的作物
替換前：We need to prevent teenagers from committing crimes. 我們必須阻止青少年犯罪
替換後：We need to keep juvenile delinquency at bay. 我們必須阻止青少年犯罪
替換後：I want to keep bad habits at bay. 我想遠離壞習慣
12. cannot/can’t 不能
替換字：be unable to (不能), fail to (沒能夠)
例句
替換前：She cannot live up to her parents’ expectations. 她不能實踐父母的期望
替換後：She is unable to live up to her parents’ expectations. 她不能實踐父母的期望
替換後：She fails to live up to her parents’ expectations. 她沒能夠實踐父母的期望
你會發現，有些句子看起來一般且枯燥乏味
但是將一些用字換成有意象的詞彙 (如 savor, leaf through, equip with)後
句子就變得靈活，讀的時候彷彿看見了畫面
